STOmics Breakfast Workshop

Monday 12th December

Breakfast served from 7:15am. Workshop 7:30am-8:15am

This is a scientific workshop featuring the proprietary SpaTial Enhanced Resolution Omics-sequencing (Stereo-seq™) from BGI-Research. Stereoseq™ is an advanced spatial multiomics platform to explore spatial biology with unprecedented field-of-view, high throughput and subcellular resolution, enabling simultaneous transcriptome study and analysis at tissue-, cellular-, subcellular- and molecular-level. Stereo-seq™’s massive potential for solving biological questions is evidenced in recent landmark publications in NatureCell, and Science.

In this workshop Dr Quan Nguyen from the University of Queensland will talk about his frontier study in advancing the understanding of differential and communicative aging between organs, suggesting potential therapeutical targets for regulating aging processes, and Dr Jennifer Currenti from Curtin University will talk about her team's carcinoma study and their revolutionary approach by combining two complementary technologies Stereo-seq™ and Jumpcode to improve the ability to annotate cell types and discover cellular niches while reducing the sequencing cost of the workflow.

The workshop will provide breakfast that opens at 7:15am. Registrations are free to the conference delegates! You may also contact us at bgi-australia@genomics.cn for more information.
